"Will" receives critical acclaim at L.A. film festival

ELMAfilms is pleased to announce that the premiere of "Will" on December 10, 2004 at the MiniDV Festival in Los Angeles garnered very positive audience response and even some critical acclaim.

Representing ELMAfilms at the Festival was Elvis Murks, the film’s writer/director. After the screening, Murks was asked to sit on a panel and participate in audience "Q & A." Feedback from the audience was very positive.

Also attending the festival was acclaimed horror producer/writer/director Daniel Farrands who had this to say about the film: "Part film noir, part George Romero, Will showcases the considerable talents of director/writer/editor Elvis Murks and producer Mark D’Elicio. The filmmakers’ highly stylized use of the DV format turns their minimalist approach into a moody, subtle piece of drama that evokes an uncomfortable feeling of solitude and an inevitable sense of dread. Will will scare you."

When asked to comment on the review of Farrands, producer Mark D’Elicio stated, "to receive praise from one of my personal favorites means so much to me. Daniel (Farrands) is by far one of my favorite writers and I will never forget his words."

ELMAfilms has released the short horror/suspense film to several other film festivals throughout California.
